Why should I feed my cat real meat?
Cats are obligate carnivores. This means that they need animal protein to thrive as they struggle to digest plant matter. While some brands use as little as 4% meat, Untamed is high meat percentage cat food. This ensures your cat gets the right balance of proteins, fats, moisture, and essential nutrients.
Why should I feed my cat human-grade cat food?
We make human-grade, real meat cat food because the best quality ingredients are the healthiest. So we make sure the meat we use in our wet food is human-grade, whole, and highly digestible, so your cat can absorb and use more of the nutrients in the food. This is in contrast to commercial cat food, which is stuffed full of questionable ingredients like animal derivatives, vegetable proteins, sugars and fillers.
Is Untamed hypoallergenic?
All our pure meat cat food recipes are vet-formulated to ensure they are free from common allergens. For cats that are particularly sensitive, we recommend our single-protein source recipes like Chocka Chicken and Tuck-in Tuna. What’s the deal with animal derivatives?
Animal derivatives are, unfortunately, one of the most commonly used ingredients in cat food. It’s a catch-all term that can legally include low quality animal parts like hooves and beaks, which are poorly digested and low in nutrients. No matter where they fall on the ingredient list, we suggest cats of all ages avoid them. At Untamed, we are committed to not using animal derivatives and we choose to exclusively use human-grade, nutritious high-protein whole meats so your cat can grow as healthily and happily as possible.
