Why do you use human-grade ingredients?
Because our cats deserve better. Our wet food is made with human-grade whole meats, clearly named on every tin, high in protein and the kind of meat protein cats are built for. Flip over most other cat foods and you’ll find vague “animal derivatives”, a legal term so broad it doesn’t have to tell you which animal, which part or what quality, alongside added sugars and plant ingredients cats have no dietary requirement for. Cats are carnivores. We think meat should come first.
Is Untamed hypoallergenic?
All our recipes have been specifically vet formulated to be minimally processed and free from common allergens. For cats that are particularly sensitive, we recommend our single-protein-source recipes like Chicken Breast and Wild Tuna. If you have any questions, please reach out to us—we are always happy to help cat lovers.
What’s the deal with animal derivatives?
Animal derivatives are, unfortunately, one of the most commonly used ingredients in cat food. It’s a catch-all term that can legally include low quality animal parts like hooves and beaks, which are poorly digested and low in nutrients. No matter where they fall on the ingredient list, we suggest you avoid them. At Untamed, we are committed to not using animal derivatives and we choose to exclusively use human-grade, nutritious whole meats so your cat can be healthier and happier.
